Kitchen Remodel

A kitchen remodel is perhaps the most important renovation you will make in your house. Over the years I have built, remodeled and updated many kitchens. I know what works, what lasts, and what adds value.  The kitchen is arguably the most important room of the house.  It is where we prepare food, eat, gather with friends and family, enjoy a quiet cup of coffee. It should reflect your tastes of course, but also be functional and inviting.  A stylish and well-designed kitchen essential for getting top dollar when it comes time to sell.  With our years of experience we can guide you through the many decisions that go into creating the perfect kitchen for your needs now and in the future.

Kitchen Renovation in West Hartford, CT Well Worth the Challenge!

This gorgeous kitchen renovation was a bit more complicated than is typical, but we loved the challenge and the result is well worth it! We worked with a kitchen supplier, the client, and their designer – as well as other subcontractors – to completely gut and redo their kitchen. We installed new cabinets and countertops, installed and ducted the appliances, lighting, and plumbing, and worked side-by-side with the contractors handling the flooring and painting to make sure the work was completed without any scheduling mishaps.

A Much Needed Kitchen Update in Simsbuy, CT

This kitchen update in Simsbury, CT is one of my most recent projects.  Although I had previously renovated three bathrooms, the family room and deck for this client,  they had put off  the kitchen knowing that it would be the most expensive and most important room of all.  The layout and design of the kitchen worked well, but everything in it had to go!

The slide show below shows you what the steps of a typical kitchen remodel could look like. This particular project took about a month from demolition to final walk-through.  But, don’t worry, you are not out of a kitchen for the whole time. We clean up at the end of every day and let you know exactly what will happen next and when,  so you can plan with a minimum of disruption.

We worked closely with Creative Kitchen & Bath for the Kraftmaid Cabinets and Caesarstone counters.

Rearranging Elements Made All the Difference in this Simsbury Kitchen Remodel

This Simsbury, CT kitchen is another  recent kitchen remodel.   The placement of appliances and doors made the room  crowded and awkward.  So we moved the refridgerator from the back corner, which made room for more counterspace and  cabinets by the sink.

There was a  wall on the far side of the refridgerator, creating a small entranceway for doors to the outside and garage. We removed the wall, opening up that end of the kitchen and making it brighter and easier to navigate.

Moving the range from the back to the side wall likewise opened up plenty of countertop and storage areas around the stove.  And the gorgeous expanse of granite counter from Classic Stone Design extending down into the eating area created a bright sideboard effect with even more storage.  As you can see, we added lighting everwhere, which is something I urge all my clients to consider.

This kitchen is a prime example of how my years of experience can help you transform a problem area into a kitchen (or bath, or room) that you will love for years to come.
